GOOD DAY OUT FOR KTM RIDERS AT VALENCE INTERNATIONAL MX

KTM MX riders warming up for the World Championship season had a good day out at the Valence International MX meeting on Sunday with Xavier Boog of ICE1Racing putting in three solid races on his KTM 450 SX-F.

Boog rode two solid races in MX1, finishing fourth in both then rode to the occasion and won the third race in a final that fielded the 20 top riders from MX1 and MX2. Victory in the final race gave Boog second place overall behind Frenchman Clement Desalle while Tanel Leok was third. “it was a good day, really good training” Boog said. “I’m ready for the first GP.”

It was also a good weekend for Jake Nichols of Steve Turner Racing who powered his KTM 250 SX to victory in both MX2 races then recovered well from a crash in the combined race to finish with the front runners.

While the Steve Turner Racing riders are no strangers to the KTM bike but this will be the first season that Antti Pyrhoenen’s ICE1Racing’s line-up will be on the grid of the World championship on the orange machines.

While the Red Bull KTM Factory Team were competing with success at the final round of the Italian International Championships, these KTM supported teams chose Valence as their final warm-up for the GP season only only two weeks away. ??"The weekend was good for us. Yesterday during the training we were able to change a few settings and finalize the race set ups for the first GP," Pyrhoenen commented after the competition. "Xavier is ready to strike and prepared for the season."
